The Ultra Loop - Temple Newsam
The Ultra Loop is an inclusive, looped running event at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds. Participants have an 8 hour time limit to complete as many laps of a 5 km loop as they can. Every finisher receives a recorded finishing time and a medal regardless of distance completed.
The course mixes woodland trail, gravel paths and park road and has approximately 88 m of elevation. The route is not closed to the public, so walkers and dog walkers may be present. Trail shoes are recommended for sections on gravel and trail.
Timing is lap based from a single start/loop line that records each circuit. Results show number of laps completed, total distance and elapsed time; any laps not completed before the 8 hour cut-off are not included. A leaderboard and course records are maintained.
The event features a singular aid station at the start/finish with water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolytes supplied by the event sponsor. Participants use a bring your own bottle approach; water refill points are provided but cups are not supplied. A bag drop is available and portaloos are provided near the aid station. Race numbers are collected at registration on the morning of the event and entrants receive confirmation and an event guide by email.
Entry fee is £34. Under 12s are not permitted and entrants aged 12 to 15 must have a parent or guardian attend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
