Event overview
The Ultra Loop is an 8-hour looped ultramarathon at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds. Participants run repeated circuits of a 5 km loop and may complete as many loops as they wish within the 8-hour limit. Every finisher receives a recorded finishing time and a medal. The entry fee is £34 and the event date is listed as Aug 8th 2026.
Course and format
The route is a mixed-terrain 5 km loop that includes woodland trail, gravel paths and park road, with approximately 88 m of elevation. The course is not closed to the public, so walkers and dog walkers may be present. The start/finish line also records loop split times; runners finish by crossing this line and notifying the event team to receive results.
Facilities and entry information
The event village surrounds the start/finish line and includes a bag drop, toilets and a single aid station. The aid station provides water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolytes from the event sponsor. Participants are asked to bring their own bottles because cups are not provided. Support crews and spectators may use the start/finish area and may set up individual aid stations. On-site registration, number and chip collection take place before the event. Ages 12 to 15 require a parent or guardian to contact the organiser and attend; under 12s are not permitted. Entry includes chip-timed results, live event tracking, a finishers medal and race photography. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
