Event Overview
The Twilight River Run is a night running and walking event held at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute. The event takes place on a Friday and offers participants the opportunity to complete a course along the river after sunset.
The event features three primary distances:
- 5k Runners
- 5k Walkers
- 1 Mile
Participants can pick up their race packets at the YMCA on the day of the event. While race day registration is available, participants who register by July 18th are guaranteed an event shirt.
High School Competition
A dedicated high school team event allows schools to compete as a group. Teams must have at least four members, and the four fastest times from each team are used to determine placement. Awards are presented for both girls' and boys' categories. The winning school team receives $250 for their running program, while the second-place team receives $100. High school participants are also eligible for individual age group awards.
Community Impact
Proceeds from the event support the WVRR Scholarship Program. This program awards two scholarships annually to student athletes from the Wabash Valley.
