Twilight River Run
The Twilight River Run is a night road event presented by Riddell National Bank and held at Fairbanks Park on the last Friday of July. Participants may choose between two distance options and the event includes separate awards in several categories.
Distances:
- 1 mile run/walk
- 5K run/walk
Packet pick-up takes place on race day at the YMCA from 8 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
The event features a high school team competition for boys and girls. Teams must have at least four members, and placements are determined by the top four finishers from each team. Cash prizes are awarded to team winners, with first place receiving $250 and second place receiving $100. There is also a school spirit award for the team judged to have the best attitude and attire.
Individual awards include overall and age group prizes. Awards for walkers are based on finish order among registered walkers, and walking the entire event is required for walker award eligibility.
Proceeds support the Wabash Valley Road Runners scholarship program. The scholarship program awards two scholarships to student athletes each year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
