The Twilight River Run
The Twilight River Run takes place on July 24 at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the intersection of 1st and Oak Street. The event is held at night and offers short-distance running and walking options.
Available distances:
- 1 Mile run or walk
- 5K run or walk
Entry fees listed for the events include a $20 fee for the 1 Mile and a $25 fee for the 5K. Participants who register by July 18 are guaranteed a shirt; race day registration is available. Race packet pickup is at the YMCA on July 24 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
The event includes a high school team competition. Each team must have at least four members; the four fastest times from each team determine team placement. There are separate high school awards for girls and boys. Team members remain eligible for individual age group awards. The first place school team receives $250 and the second place team receives $100 for their school running program.
Proceeds support the WVRR Scholarship Program. Each year WVRR awards two scholarships to student athletes from the Wabash Valley, with selection based on academic and athletic accomplishments and community contributions.
