The Trident Trail Races
The Trident Trail Races are held at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area in Jupiter, Florida, on ancient sugar sand dunes within a 271 acre coastal scrub preserve. The dune terrain includes soft sand, gentle rollers and short steep climbs that reach the highest natural point in Palm Beach County at about 44–45 feet above sea level. The site is part of protected natural areas and supports over 200 plant and animal species.
The event offers multiple race formats and distances:
- 13.2 miles Nooner Half Marathon, four 3.3 mile loops
- 102 miles Ciento Dos, 31 Trident loops
- 80 miles Immolation, 24 hour elimination loop format
- 3.3 to 33 miles A Series of Unfortunate 5Ks, up to ten loops
- 13.2 miles Twilight Trident night half marathon
The Nooner half includes about 1,200+ feet of elevation gain across the distance and enforces a four hour cutoff. The Immolation and Ciento Dos races require verifiable qualifying races or efforts from the prior 18 months; examples include long trail or road races and specific timed or distance standards. Aid stations are stocked with ice, water and chilled food, medical staff are present, and finishers receive medals and awards. Ciento Dos allows crew support; timing is managed professionally and results are posted after the event. The organizer offers refund and deferral options under published deadlines.
