Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur 2026 Christmas Edition
Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur is a trail event held at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area in Jupiter, FL. The race uses a roughly 4.5 mile loop through ancient coastal sand dunes and scrub habitat, with visible sections such as the Trident dunes, the sand pine Tunnel of Love, and views of the Intracoastal Waterway.
The event offers three distances:
- 50K : seven loops on the 4.5 mile course, about 1,400 feet of elevation gain total
- Silent Night 30K : four loops on the same looped course
- Half Marathon : three loops, approximately 600 feet of elevation gain and loss
The natural area is 270 acres of Florida Coastal Scrub, one of the rarest habitats in the county and state. The site supports over 200 species, including 31 plant species and 14 animal species considered threatened, rare, or of special concern. To limit impact, the event caps entrants at 80 runners and coordinates with Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management.
Logistics include a start and finish area with a drop bag zone and two aid stations on course, ensuring no point on the loop is more than 2.25 miles from aid. The organizer offers a staged refund and credit policy with full refunds minus platform fees available before October 1, 2026, and options for partial refunds, race credit, or donation thereafter.
