Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur - December 26, 2026
Jupiter Ridge Sand Spur is a trail race held at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area in Jupiter, Florida. The event is the 10th edition and follows a Christmas theme with holiday treats at aid stations and themed awards. The course uses an approximately 4.5-mile loop through coastal scrub, dunes, and sections that offer views of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Distances offered include:
- 50K : seven loops of the course
- 30K (Silent Night) : four loops of the course
- Half marathon : three loops of the course
The 50K accumulates about 1,400 feet of elevation gain; the half marathon about 600 feet. The route crosses sand dunes including the Trident dunes and the sand pine Tunnel of Love. The natural area is a protected Florida Scrub habitat of about 270 acres, home to many plant and animal species, and subject to environmental protections; the event limits participants to 80 runners.
Logistics noted by the organizer include two aid stations (start/finish and a station near the 2.25-mile mark), a drop bag zone allowing one small labeled bag accessible each loop, and professional chip timing. The registration and refund policy includes a full refund minus the registration platform fee through October 1, 2026, partial refunds in October and November, and transferable race credit options after December 1, 2026. Proceeds support the Palm Beach County Natural Areas program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
