The Track 100
The event is a 25 hour challenge to complete 100 mile on a floodlit 400m outdoor athletics track at California Road, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 6SJ. A professional timing system is used, provided by Timing Monkey Ltd.
The race takes place on the weekend when the clocks go back in late October, giving runners an extra hour to complete the distance. Entries for 2026 are limited to 50. The published entry fee is £120. There are no pre requisites for entry; entries can be rejected at the race director's discretion and refunds will be given in those circumstances. Otherwise there are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals.
Track side facilities include a sheltered baggage/rest area, portable toilets with hand sanitiser, parking, basic individually wrapped snacks, and cold water. Personal food may be left at track side but runners must bring their own drinks container and cup. A bespoke finisher medal is provided.
Event rules limit site numbers: personal crews and spectators are not allowed. Runners should arrive prepared as there are no changing rooms. Timing chips and bib numbers are issued at registration. Other rules include no walking sticks, no headphones, no stoves or tents, and all personal items and rubbish must be taken away by the runner. After finishing, runners collect their medal and leave site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
