Event overview
Tommy Runs takes place at the Tommy War Memorial Statue on North Terrace, Seaham, SR7 7EU. The event is set along the Seaham seafront and uses road, promenade, and coastal trails. A one-minute silence will be observed before each race. A donation from ticket sales will go to the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
Race details
- 5 km - Age 11+, closed roads, about 80 ft of elevation.
- 10 km - Age 15+, scenic seafront course on mixed terrain.
The event has a 90-minute cut-off due to road closures. It is a running race only and is not suitable for walkers. The event does not allow dogs and is not Canicross friendly.
Timing, finish and logistics
Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, an event T-shirt, and a snack. Public car parking is available in Seaham.
