The Tommy Runs 2026

The Tommy Runs take place on Sunday 1 November 2026 along the Seaham seafront. Routes use a mix of road, promenade and coastal trails and start at the Tommy War Memorial Statue, officially titled 1101 (Eleven-O-One). A one minute silence will be observed before each race.

The event offers two race distances and has a 90 minute cut off due to road closures. The organisers provide live chip timing and results. The race is for running only and is not suitable for walkers. Canicross is not permitted and dogs are not allowed.

All finishers receive an event medal, an event t shirt and a snack. Participants are asked to use public car parking available in Seaham. A donation from ticket sales will be made to the Royal British Legion and to Help for Heroes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
