Run Bachman Lake

The Texas Double occurs over two days in Dallas, Texas. Participants run on a course around Bachman Lake, situated near both Love Field and DFW airports. The event offers multiple distance options available on Saturday, Sunday, or both days of the weekend.

The course features a flat surface with two small inclines located at the dam and the start and finish area. Because of ongoing construction, the course is currently not certified, but it is USATF sanctioned and uses chip timing for all participants. The different race lengths are achieved by completing multiple loops of the lake circuit. The full marathon consists of eight loops, while the half marathon consists of four loops preceded by a short out and back section.

Available distances for the event include:

  • 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
  • 26.2 Miles (Full Marathon)
  • 31 Miles (50K Ultra Marathon)

Logistics for the race include a host hotel located one mile from the course which provides shuttle services. Runners receive one shirt for the series. A medal is awarded for each individual race completed, and a separate finisher medal is provided for those who complete the series over both days. Aid stations and volunteer support are positioned along the route to assist participants during their laps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
