The Teddy Foundation 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event takes place in Reading, PA on September 19, 2026, at Trooper Thorn’s Irish Beef House, 451 Morgantown Road (Rt. 10). It supports The Teddy Foundation’s mission of assisting local families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Raffles and merchandise are available at the event.

The course follows the Thun Trail and is mostly flat. The 5K course goes 1.55 miles out to a turnaround and returns to the start. Surfaces are almost entirely packed cinder or paved trail. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages; children age 5 and under may join parents free of charge but are not provided a shirt.
Entry fees are stated with a guaranteed T-shirt for registrations received by September 1; later and race-day registrations are at a higher fee with shirts while supplies last. A virtual option is available with a mailed T-shirt upon request, subject to size availability. The first 150 participants over age 21 receive one free beer or soda at Trooper Thorn’s. Results and finish-line timing are provided by Pretzel City Sports.
Awards include medals for overall male and female champions and medals for the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group. Registration accepts mailed forms and online entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
