The Teal Run

The Teal Run is an annual community running and awareness event held in Campbell Park along the Los Gatos Creek Trail. It is dedicated to ovarian cancer awareness and support for affected women and families in the Bay Area.

The event program combines a timed 5K and a kids fun run with a series of on-site activities. Typical event features include a survivor ceremony, health and wellness booths, art and photo activations, a bubble show, and a post-run shave ice treat. Every participant receives a finisher’s medal and is entered into a raffle for prizes.

The Teal Run began in 2015, organized by volunteers, and has remained the only Bay Area running event devoted specifically to ovarian cancer awareness and support. Since its inception, more than 4,500 participants have helped raise over $730,000 for event efforts as well as ovarian cancer research and support services. Funds raised are directed toward research on early detection and services for people and families dealing with an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
