The Swashbuckler on Tour Triathlon

The Swashbuckler on Tour Triathlon takes place on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The event is based at Moyles Court School, near Ringwood in Hampshire, within the New Forest National Park. For this edition, the event moves from its usual location at Buckler's Hard.

Participants can choose from several race formats and distances:

  • Middle Distance Triathlon: 1.9 km swim (two laps of Ellingham Water Ski Lake), 1 km transition run, 90 km bike, 20 km run.
  • Standard Triathlon: 1.1 km swim, 1 km transition run, 33 km bike, 10 km run.
  • Sprint Triathlon: 400 m swim, 1 km transition run, 33 km bike, 5 km run.
  • Aquabike: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike (transition is at the lake).
  • Duathlon: 5 km run, 33 km bike, 5 km run. Relay teams of two or three people are accepted for the Middle and Standard triathlon distances.

The bike and run courses take place on quiet country roads through the New Forest, known for its wild ponies and horses. The event includes an event village for spectators, which offers amenities like coffee, pizza, a mechanic, post-event massage, and activities for children. Participants receive a finisher's medal, a finisher's t-shirt, and post-event food.

All participants must be parked at Moyles Court School by 07:30. Vehicle movement is restricted on-site between 06:30 and 14:30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
