Swashbuckler On Tour
The Swashbuckler On Tour is a multi-discipline sports event held at Moyles Court School in Ringwood, within the New Forest. In 2026, the event moves from its traditional location at Buckler's Hard to this new venue. The competition features a swim in Ellingham Waterski Lake, a cycling leg through the New Forest where wild ponies and horses are frequently seen, and a run along quiet country roads.
Participants can choose from a variety of distances and formats:
- Middle Distance Triathlon: 1.9km swim (two laps), 1km transition run, 90km cycle, and 20km run.
- Standard Triathlon: 1.1km swim, 1km transition run, 33km cycle, and 10km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 1km transition run, 33km cycle, and 5km run.
- Aquabike: 1.9km swim and 90km cycle.
- Duathlon: 5km run, 33km cycle, and 5km middle run.
- Relay: Available for Middle and Standard distances for teams of two to three people.
The event site includes an event village for spectators and participants, featuring food vendors, coffee, a mechanic, and post-event massage services. All finishers receive a medal and a t-shirt. On-site parking and overnight camping are available at Moyles Court School. All participants must be parked at the venue by 07:30 due to road closures that remain in place until the afternoon.
