Race for Life Southampton - The Common
The event takes place on The Common in Southampton (The Avenue, SO15 7NN). Routes use the tree lined paths of The Common and Cemetery Road. The start is on tarmac and the finish is on grass. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k.

The course is mainly on tarmac paths or roads. Total ascent across the 10k is 55 m, with a gradual incline around the 2 km and 6 km points. Part of the route runs around the edge of the main site on grass, which can be uneven in places. Start and finish areas are described as flat and firm underfoot, though the grass may become soft or muddy in wet weather.
Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed and the venue is suitable for pushchairs. Wheelchair access is provided with assistance. There is no parking at The Common; multiple drop-off entrances are suggested and blue badge parking is available via a steward on Cemetery Road. Cycle parking and electric vehicle charging points are not available.
