About the race
The Race for Life event at The Common in Southampton on Saturday 19 June 2027 offers organised running routes around tree-lined paths and Cemetery Road, finishing back on the common grass area. The start is on tarmac and the finish is on grass. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k.

The course is mainly on tarmac paths or roads, with some sections on grass that may be uneven. Total ascent for the 10k is 55 m, with a slow incline around 2 km and 6 km. The finish area is in sight of the start. The course and map are subject to change.
The event is chip-timed. Facilities on site include toilets and refreshments. Dogs, pushchairs and wheelchair users with assistance are permitted; the route and start/finish areas are described as suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. There is no parking at The Common; drop-off points include Hill Lane, Northlands Road and The Avenue. Blue Badge parking is available by arrangement at Cemetery Road. Volunteers may use priority parking on Cemetery Road with local restrictions. Children aged 6 to 15 can be registered; children under 6 may attend free but are not registered participants.
