The Sundial Circuit
At dawn, runners start on a gently winding 5 km loop through the Killarney Lake trails in Fredericton, NB. Participants may run a single loop or continue running laps throughout the day; when the sun sets the runner with the most completed loops is the winner.
The course includes single-track trail, roots, rocks, and uneven terrain. A central aid station at Killarney Lake Lodge will be stocked all day with water, electrolyte drinks, and simple snacks. This is a cupless race, so participants should bring a reusable bottle or cup.
The event allows flexible pacing and time between laps. Friends and family may cheer, crew, or join a participant for a loop. Volunteers will be stationed at the main hub, where basic first aid supplies are available and emergency services can be contacted if needed. Runners are responsible for pacing themselves, staying hydrated, fueling appropriately, and recognizing their limits. If a runner decides to stop, they should check in with race staff at the main hub.
Directions note following Saint Mary's Street or Brookside Drive to the roundabout, then turning into the Killarney Lake Rotary Centennial Lodge; parking is expected to be near the start area.
Spots are limited. The listed registration fee is CA$45.51. There will be no race day deferrals, registrations, or refunds and no wait list; a transfer period will be offered after the race sells out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
