The Baker's Dozen
The event takes place at Woolastook Park, Route 102, Upper Kingsclear, New Brunswick. It is built around a 6 km loop repeated once each hour for up to thirteen loops, which totals 78 kilometres if all loops are completed.
The hourly format requires participants to finish the loop within the hour and return to the start to begin the next lap. A runner who fails to complete a loop within the time limit or who does not start the next loop is eliminated. On the thirteenth loop the first person to cross the finish line wins.
The course uses single-track trails and includes roots, rocks, uneven terrain, climbs, and darker sections. A main hub at the top of the hill provides tables with snacks and coolers stocked with water and electrolyte drinks. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own reusable cup or bottle.
Volunteers will staff the hub and direct parking areas. Basic first aid will be available and emergency services can be contacted if necessary. Volunteer massage therapy students from Eastern College will offer massages during the event. Participants are responsible for pacing, hydration, and fueling.
Registration is limited. There are no race day deferrals, registrations, or refunds, and no wait list; a transfer period will be offered after the event sells out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
