The Summit 200 : Frisco, Colorado
The Summit 200 is a single 200-mile loop through Summit County, Colorado. The route runs mainly on single-track trail and infrequently used forest roads, with sections on recreation paths and short stretches of pavement. The course stays at high altitude, with the lowest point above 9,000 feet and sections nearing 12,800 feet, and totals about 40,000 feet of elevation gain.
The event is limited to 75 entrants and offers ten full aid stations, four sleep stations, and options for drop bags. Organizers provide live GPS tracking for all participants and supply a Garmin Messenger. Runners may encounter long stretches without aid. The race uses National Forest lands and Summit County lands when permitted.
Entry requirements include a previous 100-mile finish. The event enforces a 110-hour cutoff time, listed as 33:00 per mile. The organizer’s deferral policy allows progressive race credit if participants withdraw before the event, with credit validity for three years; there are no refunds. A pregnancy deferral option provides 100 percent credit up to 30 days prior. Finishers receive a year specific buckle and a finishers jacket.
