MeadowGold 11K & 5K, Meadow Mountain, Minturn CO
The MeadowGold 11K and 5K take place on Meadow Mountain in the Town of Minturn, Colorado as the final race in the Vail Recreation District Trail Running Series. The courses run through mountain meadows and historic sites on Meadow Mountain, including old homesteads and remnants from past lettuce farming and a former downhill ski area.

The 11K route climbs technical singletrack on the West Grouse Trail with multiple stream crossings and wildflower fields, reaches a high point on Meadow Mountain, then descends Line Shack Trail with open views of Vail Mountain and the Gore Range. The 5K follows Line Shack Trail with an ascent of about 1.5 miles to a turnaround and a fast descent back to the finish.
Course statistics list elevation gain of 1,362 feet for the long course and 553 feet for the short course. Surfaces are primarily singletrack and dirt trail. The race is more remote than other series events; on-course aid stations will provide water and Skratch hydration but participants are advised to prepare with their own water and fuel. The event offers pre-race bib pickup at Peak Performance Footwear the day before and on-site pickup at Meadow Mountain Parking Lot on race day.
Finish amenities for participants include donuts, fresh fruit, a race t shirt, awards by age group, raffle entry for racers present, and an afterparty at Magustos Pizza & Bug. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
