Studland Swimrun 2027
Studland Swimrun takes place at Studland Bay, Dorset on 12 June 2027 and is limited to up to 400 participants. The event is held on the Jurassic Coast and passes beaches, dunes and cliff-top paths near a seahorse colony.
The event combines coastal trail running with open water swimming, following the natural contours of the landscape and alternating running and swimming sections along the coast.
Distances available:
- Short Course: 9 km
- Middle Course: 11 km
- Long Course: 27.66 km total (5.62 km swim, 22.04 km run)
Athletes may compete solo or in pairs. Clubs regularly bring members of mixed abilities to attend together. The event offers three course options to provide different race lengths and formats.
Course details for the Long Course are pending confirmation with local stakeholders. Organisers plan a route that is largely a reverse of previous years and hope to include the Durlston Swim; the final route will depend on stakeholder agreement and weather conditions.
Registration information is published for the event cycle: registration opens 01-08-2026 and closes 05-06-2027. Additional event details and the confirmed course map will appear once the route is finalised. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
