The Stu

The Stu is a chip-timed 4-mile run/walk held in Mason City, Iowa, with the course run on paved streets. The event starts and finishes at the Mason City Family Aquatic Center, 933 Birch Drive, Mason City, IA 50401. It is held as part of the North Iowa Band Festival celebration.

Registrations open January 31, 2026 and close April 29, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00. Registrations submitted after May 17 are not guaranteed a shirt. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, May 22 at the Mason City Aquatic Center from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Awards are given by age and gender divisions, with medals for the top three places in each division and trophies for the overall male and overall female winners. Age divisions include 8 and Under; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and Over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
