The Stu Nevermann Memorial Run

The Stu is an annual running and walking event held in Mason City, Iowa. The race is a featured part of the North Iowa Band Festival celebration. The event consists of a single distance:

4 mile run/walk

The course consists of paved city streets, starting and ending at the Mason City Family Aquatic Center. All participants are chip timed to ensure accurate results. The 4 mile route is open to both runners and walkers.

Medals are awarded to the top three finishers within various age and gender divisions. These divisions include categories for participants aged 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Additionally, the overall male and overall female winners receive a trophy.

Registered participants may collect their race packets the evening before the event at the Mason City Family Aquatic Center. Registration fees increase after late April.
