Clear Lake Freedom 5K presented by Kingland
The Clear Lake Freedom 5K presented by Kingland takes place on July 4, 2026 in Clear Lake, Iowa. The course begins at N 3rd Street and Main Avenue and follows an out-and-back route entirely on Main Avenue, with the turnaround located just past the I-35 overpass.
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, and the top three finishers in each age group receive medals. The age groups are 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and older.
Registration opens March 30, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. The entry fee for the 5K is $30, and the first 450 registrants receive a performance t-shirt.
The event is hosted by the Clear Lake Cross Country Team and proceeds benefit that program. A CL Tel Kids Fun Run of 0.5 miles is offered as a separate youth event; children receive a t-shirt and a medal, and parents may accompany their children at no charge.
