Clear Lake Freedom 5K presented by Kingland
The Clear Lake Freedom 5K presented by Kingland is a road race held on July 4 in Clear Lake, Iowa. The course begins at N 3rd Street and Main Avenue and follows an out and back route entirely on Main Avenue. Runners proceed east on Main Avenue and turn around just past the I-35 overpass.
Registration opens March 30, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00 and the first 400 registrants receive a performance t shirt. Medals are awarded to the overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups are 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and older. The event is hosted by the Clear Lake Cross Country Team and proceeds benefit that program.
A related CL Tel Kids Fun Run covers one half mile for younger children; participants receive a t shirt and a medal, and parents may accompany their children at no cost. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
