Clear Lake Earth Day Youth Mile, 5K & 10K Races
The Clear Lake Earth Day Youth Mile, 5K and 10K Races take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Clear Lake, Iowa. The event is based at the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and includes multiple course options.

The Youth Mile consists of three loops around City Park and finishes by the seawall. The 5K and 10K begin lakeside at the Main Avenue boat ramp. Both routes include one loop around City Park before continuing along South Shore Drive and returning to finish in front of the Lady of the Lake.
On the 5K course the turnaround is at the Y intersection at 20th Avenue South. On the 10K course runners veer toward Clear Lake State Park at the Y intersection, run through the state park, continue on South Shore Drive, and use a turnaround near Lakeside Cyclery. The 10K course is not USATF certified.
Prizes are awarded to overall male and female winners and to top male and top female finishers in age categories 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. The races are presented by the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Registrations received by March 20 will receive a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
