The Stoop

The Stoop is a popular running event organized by Wharfedale Harriers, taking place at Penistone Hill Country Park. The race covers a distance of 4.9 miles with a climb of 700 feet, featuring a scenic route that includes the Stoop – Standing Stone. Participants can enjoy junior races as well.

Registration is available on the day of the event, and all entrants receive a Santa hat and a Curly Wurly, along with complimentary coffee and biscuits. An extensive prize list is awarded, including categories for men, women, and veterans. The event fosters a festive atmosphere and community spirit among runners.
