Punk Panther Nidderdale Way
Punk Panther Nidderdale Way is a trail ultramarathon held on the Nidderdale Way in North Yorkshire that passes locations such as Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks, Scar House Reservoir and How Stean Gorge. The route lies within an area of outstanding natural beauty and is offered in multiple distance options.
Entrants can choose from the following distances:
- 13 miles 1700 ft climb ITRA 1 UTMB Q20K
- 20 miles 2800 ft climb ITRA 1 UTMB Q20K
- 32 miles 4700 ft climb ITRA 2 UTMB Q50K
- 55 miles 7500 ft climb ITRA 3 UTMB Q100K
The event has a minimum age of 18 and a maximum field of 200 entrants. Registration is based at Pateley Bridge Cricket Club, Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire. Provisional GPX files and a route description are provided before the event and a final version is issued to competitors in the final instructions.
All entrants are supplied with a tracker for real time tracking and emergency use. Checkpoints along the route offer drinks, energy foods and separate boxes for vegan and gluten free options. Finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out. Competitors are required to carry a specified minimum kit; random checks may be carried out and non compliance can lead to disqualification.
