Ilkley Half Marathon
The Ilkley Half Marathon is organised by Ilkley Round Table to raise funds for local good causes. The event began in 2019 and took a year off in 2020 due to COVID. Since the inaugural race the event has raised between £20,000 and over £50,000 each year, with proceeds redirected to several local organisations across Wharfedale.
The event is open to runners of all levels. The course is fully road closed and runs through the Yorkshire countryside, offered as a half marathon distance.
The 2026 charity of choice is LS29 Special Needs Support Group. LS29 supports families of children with additional needs, has over 140 members, and organises a range of outings and activities throughout the year. Its aims include providing opportunities for the whole family to take part in activities, building a support network, and offering social and recreational opportunities. Ilkley Round Table has supported LS29 for a number of years. The entry form includes an option to donate to the charity.
