The Stolen Hour
The Stolen Hour is a 24 hour max distance race held at Twenty Three Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas on March 13 to 14, 2027. The event uses a single designated loop so athletes complete as many laps as possible during a continuous 24 hour period.
The course is a one mile loop through Texas Hill Country trails with rolling terrain, wooded sections, and open ranch trails. The official winner is the athlete who covers the greatest certified distance when the 24 hours have elapsed. Participants may run, walk, stop at the aid station, or take breaks as needed; the clock runs continuously for all athletes.
The event is limited to 111 runners and carries an entry fee of $333. A total prize pool of $15,000 will be split among the top three female and top three male finishers.
A clock change occurs during the race: on Sunday March 14 Daylight Saving Time begins and the clocks jump forward, removing one hour. The race still comprises 24 full hours of actual elapsed time and the clock change does not shorten the racing duration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
