The Sports Spectacular 5K/10K
The Sports Spectacular 5K/10K is an athletic event held at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, California. The event focuses on the connection between running and various other sports, such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball. The course takes participants along the beach bike path, providing ocean views and fresh sea air throughout the race.

Every participant receives a themed race shirt and a custom cast finisher medal. The event utilizes professional RFID chip timing, and awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the oldest and youngest participants. Age division awards are also available in five-year increments.
A Sports and Fitness Expo takes place on the morning of the event. This expo features local clubs, youth and adult sports programs, and fitness opportunities. In addition to the races and expo, there are on-site refreshments available for purchase, including street tacos, agua fresca, and specialty coffees.
The event is open to runners, walkers, and athletes of all abilities. Strollers are permitted on the course provided they line up toward the back of the pack. Leashed pets are also allowed if they are accompanied by a participant. The race takes place rain or shine, and public restrooms are located near the parking areas.
