The Sports Spectacular 5K and 10K
The event takes place at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, CA, and includes a beachside course with ocean views and fresh sea air. Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- 10K Run/Walk - 6.2 miles
- Kid's Dash
Participants receive a custom themed finisher medal and a themed race shirt. Professional RFID chip timing is provided. Age-division awards are given in five-year spans, and top overall trophies are awarded for males and females. A sports and fitness expo on race morning features youth and adult programs, local clubs and teams, coaches and instructors, and opportunities to explore fitness and cross-training.
Pets are allowed on a leash of five feet or less and must be accompanied by a registered Run/Walk participant. Strollers may be used at the family’s own risk; only registered participants with a visible bib receive finisher medals. Restrooms are located in public buildings at the ends of the parking lots.
