The Spooktacular 5k Presented by the Build a Spartan Foundation
The Build a Spartan Foundation organizes the third annual Spooktacular event at Mid Valley High School grounds in Throop, Pennsylvania on October 31, 2026. The event program includes a 5k run, a 2 mile walk, and a Trunk or Treat in the school parking lot following the running events. Awards are presented immediately after competitors finish.

Registration for the run and walk opens on September 10, 2026 and closes on October 30, 2026. Both the 5k run and the 2 mile walk carry a registration fee of $35. The Trunk or Treat is free; its registration also opens September 10, 2026 and closes on October 30, 2026. Day-of registration and packet pickup are available.
Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. The Trunk or Treat is described as a family-oriented, free activity in the school parking lot where children can show costumes and collect candy; organizers request registration so they can estimate attendance.
