Event overview
THE SOUNDVIEW 5K takes place on April 11, 2026, at Soundview Park in the Bronx, NY 10473. The event includes three entries: THE SOUNDVIEW 5K - Community, THE SOUNDVIEW 5K - Elite, and a Soundview 5K Virtual option. Registration pricing is tiered: early bird $20, regular $30, then $35, $40, and same-day registration $50.
Course, format and services
The race is a 5000 meter event on a paved, generally flat course that includes a sharp hairpin turn and runs alongside the Bronx River through park features such as playgrounds, soccer and baseball fields, and an amphitheater. A waved start method will be used with Elite and Community waves; there is also a Friends & Family wave for walkers and parents with strollers. Walkers have a 1 hour 50 minute time frame to complete the 5K. Finisher medals are provided. Prizes will be awarded to the first-place male and female in each wave, and age group awards will be given to the top male and female in the following groups: 17-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The event is directed by an RRCA certified race director. Additional services include bib distribution on race morning, a volunteer-monitored bag check, and post-race water and fruit for registered participants.
