The Shindig in the Shire is a scenic running event hosted by How Hard Can It Be Events, starting from The Unicorn Inn in Telford. Participants enjoy stunning views of the Ironbridge Gorge, including the world-famous Ironbridge, while running through the historic areas of Ironbridge and Jackfield before returning via the Silkin Way. The course features beautiful paths with some climbs, offering distances of 8 miles (1 lap), 16 miles (2 laps), and a full marathon of 26.2 miles (3 laps).
