The MTC Severn Plod Ultra

The MTC Severn Plod Ultra is a 48‑mile, point‑to‑point ultramarathon run by Ultra Running Ltd. It starts at the Mid Wales Art Centre in Maesmawr, Caersws, Powys, and finishes at a Premier Inn in Shrewsbury. The course follows the River Severn, diverting inland briefly before rejoining the river at Dolerw Park, passing the Gorsedd stone circle and Newton’s Eisteddfod site, then continuing along the Montgomery Canal Walk, Pwll Penarth Nature Reserve, Offa’s Dyke Path and the Breidden Hills to Montford Bridge and into Shrewsbury.

Runners must maintain at least 4 mph, with four checkpoints and vegan/gluten-free food options. Finishers receive a bespoke medal; head visor at start; cup-free policy; entry £90. Ascent 650m, descent 581m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
