Castle 2 Castle #Ultra
The Castle 2 Castle Ultra is a 32 miles point to point race between Welshpool and Chirk held on Saturday 13 March 2027. The event starts in the grounds of Powis Estate in Welshpool and finishes at Caffi Wylfa in Chirk. Race HQ is at Powis Estate / Town Hall, Broad Street, Welshpool SY21 7JQ and is a short walk from several town centre car parks.
The route uses a mix of flat fast paths and undulating public footpaths, with some sections of climbing and areas with scenic views. The organiser plans two water and food stations located at about 11 miles and 21 miles. Finishers receive a finishers plate and goodies at Caffi Wylfa. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.
Practical arrangements include on street parking and multiple car parks near the start. An optional coach from Chirk is available for a fee of £10 per person and parking is free for runners who travel by coach, with the coach drop close to the finish.
