The MTC Severn Path Ultra : event overview

The MTC Severn Path Ultra is a point-to-point ultra running event of about 59 miles. The course starts at the Premier Inn, Shrewsbury (SY1 1PG) and finishes in Worcester City (Travelodge, WR1 2QS). The route follows the River Severn through or past Shrewsbury, Atcham, Cressage, Buildwas, Ironbridge, Jackfield, Coalport, Apley Forge, Bridgnorth, Hampton, Upper Arley, Bewdley, Stourport and Holt Heath. Entry, checkpoints and race rules

The event has four checkpoint stations and organisers require competitors to maintain a minimum speed of 4.0 mph or they may be removed from the race. Checkpoint food options can be set as Vegan or Gluten Free at entry; competitors who need other dietary provisions must supply and label their own food for each checkpoint. All events are cup-free and participants should bring a reusable cup. Entry is non-refundable; the standard solo entry fee is shown as £90.00.

Entrants must meet the event age requirement and carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, Ordnance Survey Map 150 (or downloadable maps), compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food and a basic first aid kit. All finishers receive a Severn Path Ultra finisher medal and a MTC head visor; trophies are awarded to the first male and female finishers.
