The Run Turkey Run 5K
The Run Turkey Run 5K is a community road race held in Watertown, Wisconsin at Riverside Park (812 Labaree Street). The event takes place on Thanksgiving morning, 11/26/2026, and includes a main 5K and a 1K kids run. Since 2012 the event has attracted nearly 1,000 runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and spectators and has raised more than $235,000 for local community organizations.
For 2026 the majority of funds raised will support development of new lighted community pickleball courts at a local city park. Organizers state the project aims to provide an accessible, year-round place for activity and community gathering. The event has a fundraising goal of $50,000 for the courts. Participants are encouraged to add a donation to registration or to opt out of a sweatshirt so that the saved funds contribute to the project.
Registration opens 8/13/2026 and closes 10/6/2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $40.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 1K kids run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
