The Rivington 10 Mile Trail Challenge

The Rivington 10 Mile Trail Challenge is a spring trail race held in Rivington Village, Bolton (BL6 7SD) on Sunday 11 April 2027. The event covers 10 miles (approximately 16 km) and has a cut-off time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Timing is provided by Trail Blazing Events. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal and prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with additional age category awards and team prizes.

The course starts and finishes in Rivington Village and uses local trails and countryside. The route includes woodland through White Coppice, tracks in Wheelton Plantation, open moorland and views across the West Pennine Moors, plus sections near reservoirs. The course combines fast, runnable sections with climbs and follows quiet trails away from busy roads. The event is fully marshalled and organised by Trail Blazing Events.
