The Rivington 10m Trail Challenge
The Rivington 10m Trail Challenge is a spring trail race organised by Trail Blazing Events, held in Rivington, Bolton on Sunday 11 April 2027. The route starts and finishes at the Village Green Tea Room, Rivington BL6 7SD, and runs through woodland, plantation and open moorland on the edge of the West Pennine Moors.
The course covers 10 miles (approximately 16 km) of flowing trails and quiet tracks. Runners pass through Scenic woodland trails at White Coppice, the tracks of Wheelton Plantation, and rolling countryside with views across the West Pennine Moors. The route includes fast runnable sections together with climbs and quieter trails away from busy roads.
Event services include chip timing managed by Trail Blazing Events, course marshals and route signage. There is a cut off time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with additional age category awards and team prizes. The published entry price is £19.50.
