The Revolutionary Mile - At the Boom Box Parade
The Revolutionary Mile is a one mile road race held on July 4 in Willimantic, Connecticut, on the parade route of the Boom Box Parade. The event takes place at 1307 Main St, Willimantic, CT 06226, and is limited to 250 registered runners.
Race features include professional chip timing, a USA Track and Field certified course, quarter mile markers along the route, a custom themed race number, race T shirts for those who register by 6/18/26, and post race snacks. Large division awards are offered and top overall male and female are recognized; overall winners are not eligible for division awards but may be eligible for the Hometown Hero recognition.
Division awards are given to the top three in each category for male and female 12 and under, 13 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over, plus a non binary category. Separate Zeus and Athena categories are offered with eligibility based on weight thresholds: Open Zeus 200 lbs or more and Open Athena 165 lbs or more; athletes in those categories remain eligible for division awards.
Registration opens on 2026-03-05 and closes on 2026-05-25. The registration fee is $25.00. The event coincides with the town parade and America's 250 celebration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
