The Revolutionary Mile
The Revolutionary Mile is a one mile road race held on July 4, 2026, in Willimantic, Connecticut, on Main Street and run along the parade route of the Boombox Parade. The event has been held on this parade route since 2003 and takes place alongside the town parade and America's 250 celebration.
The race is limited to 250 registered runners and offers professional chip timing and a USA/TF certified course with quarter mile markers. Registered participants who sign up by June 18, 2026, are eligible for the race T shirt. Other event features include a custom themed race number, post race snacks, and large division awards.
Awards include top male and top female overall winners, who are not eligible for division awards but may be eligible for the Hometown Hero award. Division awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, with divisions for 12 and under, 13 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 and up, and a non binary division. Additional prizes include a high school award for ages 14 to 18 and special Zeus and Athena categories based on weight eligibility. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
