The Raven 24-Hour : Mount Pleasant, SC

The Raven is a USATF-sanctioned, record-eligible 24-hour track event held at the Town Hall 400-meter rubberized track in Mount Pleasant, SC. The course is USATF certified and will be lit through the night. Two porta-potties will be placed near the track. A gymnasium with men's and women's restrooms, showers, and a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee machine, and microwave will be available during and after the event.

The event uses electronic timing with lap and distance displayed near the start. Direction of travel on the track will change every four hours. Runners may leave the track area but must remain inside the fenced venue and return to the same location before continuing; leaving and reentering via the timing equipment to avoid lap counting is not allowed.

The field size is limited and entry is prioritized by qualifying standards (A and B) across multiple distances and time limits, including 24 hours, 100 miles, 100k, and 50 miles. Applicants are reviewed and ranked until capacity is reached; entrants are encouraged to join the waitlist for consideration. Exceptions to standards may be considered by the organizers.

An aid station will offer water, electrolyte drinks, sodas, snacks (PB&J, gummies, chips, bananas) and limited hot items such as broth, soup, quesadillas, omelets, and coffee. Athletes should bring any special dietary items they require.

All entrants will be registered in the 24-hour event; 100-mile splits (if reached) and full 24-hour results will be recorded. National record performances will be submitted to USATF and world performances to the IAU for ratification within ten calendar days of the event conclusion.

Prize money is offered for top record performances, including awards for overall World and American records and payouts tied to U.S. 24-Hour Team standards, subject to ratification and national list updates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
