The Railway Ultra
The Railway Ultra is a multi-distance running event held on the disused Coalport railway line behind The Woodbridge Pub in Coalport, Telford (TF8 7JF). The route runs along the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, passing river views and traces of the area's industrial heritage. The event is scheduled to return in 2026 with a Winter Railway Ultra on 21 February 2026 and a Summer event on 1 August 2026.

Each out-and-back lap measures 9.4 miles. Aid stations are placed approximately every 4.7 miles and the event uses a seven-hour cut off. Event headquarters are on the disused railway behind The Woodbridge Public House (TF8 7JF). Parking is available a 10-minute walk away at the Coalport China Museum and Coalport YHA, with charges applying. There are four pubs within one mile of the start and the Coalport YHA is also within one mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
