Event overview
The Railway Ultra is a multi-distance running event held on the Coalport railway line beside the River Severn, between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The route follows a disused railway line and passes sites related to the area's former industrial activity. The event has a 7 hour cut off.

Each out-and-back lap is 9.4 miles. A well-stocked aid station is provided every 4.7 miles.
Course and logistics
Headquarters is at TF8 7JF on the disused railway behind The Woodbridge Public House. Parking is a 10 minute walk away at the Coalport China Museum and Coalport YHA; charges apply. There are four pubs within one mile of the start on the river: The Woodbridge Inn, The Shakespeare, The Brewery, and The Boat Inn. The Coalport YHA is also within one mile of the start.
