The Railway Ultra
The Railway Ultra is a multi-distance running event organized by How Hard Can It Be Events. The course runs along the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, on a disused railway line that yields scenic river views and hints of the area’s industrial heritage. Runners choose from 9 miles, 13.1 miles (half marathon), 19 miles (3/4 marathon), 28 miles, or 37 miles; each out-and-back lap covers 9.4 miles with a well-stocked aid station every 4.7 miles.
HQ is behind The Woodbridge Public House in Coalport (TF8 7JF), with nearby parking at Coalport China Museum or Coalport YHA. A 7-hour cut-off applies. The event returns in 2026 as Winter and Summer editions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
