Event overview
The Railway Ultra is a multi-distance running event on the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The course follows a disused railway line with visible river views and traces of former industrial activity. The event is scheduled to return in 2026 with a winter edition on 21 February 2026 and a summer edition on 1 August 2026.
The event headquarters is located at TF8 7JF on the disused railway behind The Woodbridge Public House. There is a seven hour cut off for the event.

Each out-and-back lap is 9.4 miles. Aid stations are provided approximately every 4.7 miles. Parking is about a 10 minute walk away at the Coalport China Museum and at Coalport YHA, where charges apply. There are four pubs within one mile of the start and the Coalport YHA is also within one mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
