The Rad Race

The event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the movie Rad. It takes place on March 21, 2026, at 12257 Kuykendahl Rd in Houston, Texas.

The Rad Race includes multiple activities. There are running events: a 5k and a 10k. There is also a Kids Dash for participants aged 10 and under, approximately 200-400 meters long. Other activities include a Bike Race Experience and the RAD Zone, a non-racing festival area. The event is held in partnership with H-Town BMX and Northside BMX Park. Virtual options for the 5k and 10k are also available.

All participants receive a custom race shirt, finisher medal, and race bib. Awards are given for overall, masters, and grand masters winners, as well as top three finishers in various age groups. The event features the RAD Fest with music, vendors, food, and a best attire contest.

Packet pickup is available on Tuesday through Thursday, March 17-19, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM, and on race day, March 21, 2026, from 7 AM to 8:30 AM, at H-Town BMX. The race has a no-refund policy but offers a switch to a virtual event if a participant cannot attend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
