2026 Komen Houston Race for the Cure
The Komen Houston Race for the Cure is an event presented by Susan G. Komen to raise funds for breast cancer research, care and community programs. It takes place in Sam Houston Park in Houston, Texas on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event includes a competitive 5K course and an optional one-mile route.
Participation options include in-person and virtual entries. Registration fees listed for the event are: Adult $45, Virtual Adult $55, Youth (under 18) $35, and Virtual Youth $45. The additional $10 fee for virtual participants covers t-shirt mailing costs. Every registered participant receives an event T-shirt; shirts for survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer are in special colors.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at DICK’S Sporting Goods, 2131 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, on dates in late September and early October. Timed participants may purchase a $10 timing chip at registration to receive a chip and eligibility for rewards. All timed participants receive an individual results page with results, a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate and a short video of crossing the start and finish.
The event features activities that honor survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer, including a Hope Village celebration and a Pathway of Hope survivor parade.
