2026 Komen Houston Race for the Cure
The event takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Sam Houston Park, 1000 Bagby St., Houston, TX 77002. It is organized by Susan G. Komen as a fundraising race and community event focused on breast cancer awareness, research and support.
The event offers multiple route options:

- One mile route
Registration categories and fees listed by the organizer include Adult $45, Virtual Adult $55, Youth under 18 $35, and Virtual Youth under 18 $45. The additional $10 fee for virtual participants is stated to cover t shirt mailing costs. Every registered participant will receive an event T shirt; shirts for survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer will be in special colors. Timed participants who purchase the timing chip option receive individual results pages with a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate and a 20 second video of crossing. Award categories include the top three overall male and female 5K finishers and top three in multiple 5K age groups. The event includes survivor focused activities such as a Hope Village celebration, a Pathway of Hope survivor parade and an Honor and Remembrance Flag Garden.
