The Race HOME
The Race HOME takes place on November 7, 2026 at Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row, along Kelly Drive in Philadelphia, PA. The event raises awareness for Project HOME and supports its mission to end and prevent chronic street homelessness. Organizers present the role of physical and mental wellness in a person’s journey toward permanent and supportive housing and note that race participation supports Project HOME community members.
Participants can choose among these options:
- 5K Race at Lloyd Hall along Kelly Drive, timed on site by Bryn Mawr Running Company
- 1 mile Family Walk at Lloyd Hall
- Virtual participation through any outdoor wellness activity, with options to use the Racejoy app or self-time and submit results
Participants receive a t-shirt. Remote participants have the option to submit results electronically; event staff will provide directions by email or text. The event also highlights Project HOME’s Hub of Hope, which offers services such as showers, laundry, medical care, case management, and other supports that help people toward permanent housing.
The organizer lists suggested items for hygiene kits to support people experiencing homelessness, including socks, chapstick, bottled water, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and a plain T-shirt.
