The Race HOME: Benefiting Project HOME
The Race HOME is the sixth annual fundraising event for Project HOME taking place on October 24, 2026, at Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The event offers multiple ways to participate to raise awareness and support for ending and preventing chronic street homelessness.
- 5K Race at Lloyd Hall along Kelly Drive.
- 1 mile Family Walk at Lloyd Hall.
- Remote participation through an outdoor wellness activity from any location.
Participants receive a participant t-shirt. Timing for the 5K is provided by Bryn Mawr Running Company; remote participants may use the Racejoy app or self-timing to submit results. Registration fees listed for the event are $45 for the 5K and $40 for the one-mile walk. Organizers offer options for participants to form teams and set fundraising goals.
The event highlights the role of physical and mental wellness in the path toward permanent and supportive housing. Project HOME’s Hub of Hope is described as a place that offers services such as warm beverages, showers, laundry, medical access, case management, and assistance beginning the process of finding permanent housing. The event also collects hygiene kit donations with a suggested packing list and local drop-off arrangements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
