The Phantom Run
The Phantom Run is a November trail race held on North Shore trails in the lower reaches of the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve near the Seymour River. Start and finish are at the Lynn Canyon Park parking lot, across from the filtration plant on Lillooet Road in North Vancouver.
The course includes technical and non-technical trail sections with some steep climbs and descents. For 2025 a detour was introduced in the first 12K loop because of construction on the Seymour River aerial crossing.
Distances offered:
- 12 km
- 19.5 km
- 25 km
There are three aid stations in total: three for the 25K and 19.5K and one for the 12K. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, gels, chips or blocks, cookies and other treats; first aid supplies are available at every aid station. The race series is cupless so participants must bring their own container for fluids.
The event is a fundraiser that collects non-perishable food for the North Vancouver Food Bank. An orientation run is scheduled for November 1, 2025 in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. For safety, all participants must check in 45 minutes before their race start. The course closes at 1:00 p.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
