The Phantom Run
The Phantom Run takes place in November on lower North Shore trails near the Seymour River. Routes include technical and non technical trail sections with some steep climbs and descents. For 2025, a detour was required in the first loop because of construction on the Seymour River aerial crossing.
The start and finish area is at the Lynn Canyon Park parking lot in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve on Lillooet Road in North Vancouver. Parking at the reserve is limited and carpooling is recommended. Trail conditions can be wet and muddy in some years.
The event is a fundraiser that collects non perishable food for donation to a local food bank. Aid stations are provided on course: there are three aid stations serving the longer distances and one aid station on the 12 km route. Aid stations supply water, electrolyte drink, gels, bars or chews, cookies and similar items; first aid supplies are available at every aid station. The event is cup free so participants must bring their own container for fluids.
Practical notes: an orientation run is scheduled for November 1, 2025 in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. Package pickup is on Friday, November 13, 2025 at the Running Room in North Vancouver. Organizers require check in 45 minutes before race start for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
