The Parklands & WLKY 5K Run/Walk : June 6, 2026, Beckley Creek Park, Louisville, KY
The Parklands & WLKY 5K Run/Walk is a community 5K event held on June 6, 2026, at Beckley Creek Park, 1421 Beckley Creek Parkway, Louisville, KY 40245. The course covers 3.1 miles (5K) and combines short road sections with the scenic Louisville Loop trail. The start and finish are located at the Egg Lawn in Beckley Creek Park. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation; virtual participants complete the distance on their own and submit results through the registration website.
Proceeds support the annual maintenance and operations of The Parklands of Floyds Fork. The Parklands is a visitor- and donor-supported public park system that receives no tax dollars for annual operations. It is open 365 days a year at no charge and records nearly 4 million visits annually. The park features over 60 miles of trails for hiking and biking, a mountain bike park, a 19-mile ADA-certified multi-use paved trail, and 22 miles of paddling trail along Floyds Fork.
Race entry includes a moisture-wicking short sleeve tech shirt, a finisher medal, free race photography, and post-race refreshments. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three male and female in age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park, with additional pickup the morning of the event.
