The Parklands & WLKY 5K

The Parklands & WLKY 5K is scheduled for June 6, 2026 at Beckley Creek Park. The event is a 3.1 mile run and walk that starts and finishes at the Egg Lawn and follows a course that combines road sections with the Louisville Loop trail.

The event supports the annual maintenance and operations of The Parklands of Floyds Fork, a visitor and donor supported public park system that receives no tax dollars for annual operations. The Parklands is open 365 days a year and records nearly four million visits each year.

Both in-person and virtual participation options are available. Virtual participants may complete the distance at any time and submit results on the registration site from June 5 through June 8, 2026. Race entry includes a short sleeve technical shirt, a finisher medal, free race photography, post race refreshments, and a one year membership to The Parklands.

Awards include gift certificates to a local running store for the top three overall male and female finishers and top three finishers in multiple age groups, plus custom Parklands bib boards for award winners. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park and the morning of the event at the same location.
