The Paideia Slither 5K
The Paideia Slither is a community road race held on the Paideia School campus in Atlanta. The course runs through the Candler Park neighborhood and both the start and finish are located on the Paideia campus. The event includes a shorter Tot Trot for children age 7 and under on South Ponce.
Packet pick up is offered the day before the race at the Paideia School High School Commons at 1509 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA, or on race morning at the Paideia campus. Official chip timing is provided by Start2Finish Atlanta.
Awards are given to Overall Male and Overall Female finishers and to the top three finishers in the age groups 9-13, 14-17, 18-27, 28-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Awards are based on gun time.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Paideia financial aid fund. Participants at the event have included members of the Paideia community, family, neighbors, walkers, first-time racers, and those with strollers. Dogs are not permitted. Runners who register by October 31, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
