The Paideia Slither 5K
The Paideia Slither 5K is an annual road race on the Paideia School campus at 1509 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast in Atlanta. The 5K course runs through the Candler Park neighborhood and begins and ends on the Paideia campus. The event uses official chip timing provided by Start2Finish Atlanta.
A short Tot Trot for children ages 7 and under takes place on South Ponce after the completion of the 5K. The event welcomes members of the Paideia community, family, friends, neighbors, walkers, first time racers, and participants with strollers. Dogs are not permitted.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Paideia financial aid fund. All runners registered by October 24, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Packet pick up is available the Friday before the race at the Paideia School High School Commons and also on race morning at the campus.
Awards are presented to the overall male and overall female finishers and to the top three in age groups. Age groups for awards include 9-13, 14-17, 18-27, 28-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Awards are based on gun time.
Registration fees listed for the event include processing fees. Published fees include a 5K entry fee of $35 plus processing fees and a Tot Trot fee of $10 plus processing fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
