Dental Dash at Dawn 5K
The Dental Dash at Dawn 5K is a fundraising event held in Atlanta, Georgia. The event supports the DDD Foundation, a non-profit clinic that provides dental care to thousands of patients with developmental disabilities across the state. The race course is located on Clairmont Road and passes through a residential neighborhood. This event serves as an official Peachtree Road Race Qualifier and features professional chip timing.
Participants can choose from several categories:
- 5K
- 5K - Wheelchair Pusher
- 5K - Wheelchair Rider
- Virtual Race
The event is inclusive of various participants, allowing strollers, baby joggers, and pets at the back of the starting lineup. Specific prize categories are available for individual runners and wheelchair participants, including cash prizes for the top male, top female, and fastest wheelchair finisher. Gold tooth trophies are also awarded to the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from under 9 to over 70.
The race takes place on top of a parking deck, where free parking is provided for all attendees. Because the start and finish lines are located next to the parking area, no separate bag check is provided. The event includes a guided warm-up led by a professional trainer and offers snacks and water for participants. High-resolution race photos are made available for download after the event.
