Event overview
The Other Run takes place on 26/04/2026 at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event is scheduled on the same day as the London Marathon and offers multiple distance options:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Marathon
There is a seven-hour cut-off for the marathon distance. A bespoke finisher medal will be issued at the end of the race. A "lucky dip" finisher option may be available, allowing selection from previous finisher medals.
Course and practical information
The marathon uses the Kirtling Route, an officially measured, fully on-road course described as mildly undulating. The half marathon is one loop on the Windmill Route. The 5k and 10k use a turnaround point for the shorter distances. Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10 km. Parking is included in the entry price. The event is cupless, so participants need to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. All routes are on quiet roads but traffic can be present; participants are advised to be visible when near the road. Selecting the marathon distance can support applications for a marathon GFA place.
