Event details
The Other Run takes place on 26 April 2026 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and is open to entrants aged 18 and over. Maximum entries are 300 and entries close on 25 April 2026. The event uses a mass start and has a seven-hour cut-off for the marathon distance.

Course and facilities
The marathon follows the Kirtling Route, an officially measured, fully on-road route described as mildly undulating. The half marathon is a single loop on the Windmill Route. The 5k and 10k options use turnaround points. Aid stations with drinks and snacks are provided approximately every 10 km. Race HQ / base camp is at the start and lap point and includes the main water/aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups. The routes run on quiet roads where runners should be aware of traffic and wear bright clothing.
Prizes and finishers
A bespoke finisher medal is provided at the end of the race. There is a “lucky dip” finisher medal option where a medal from a previous event may be allocated. Entry fees vary by distance and option, ranging from around £27 to £38. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
