The Next Loop: Endurance Series - Pinnacle Mountain
The event is scheduled for November 7, 2026, at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Roland, AR, using a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) trail loop near 9600 Hwy 300. The format runs loop by loop: runners begin a new lap on the hour and may complete as many laps as they choose; each finished lap adds to the competitor's official distance.
Loop timing is recorded for each hour-based start and final results are ranked by number of loops completed and combined total time. There are no cutoffs or timeouts; completed loops remain on a participant's official result if they stop before the event ends.
Distances that correspond to completed loops:
- 1 loop = 5K
- 2 loops = 10K
- 4 loops = Half Marathon
- 9 loops = Marathon
- 10 loops = 50K
An aid station is available at the central base area before each loop to provide hydration and basic nutrition. The centralized loop format concentrates support and makes it straightforward for crew, family, or spectators to assist between laps.
