Event Overview
The Ghost-to-Gobble event offers a 5K and a 1-mile fun run. It takes place on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway.
Distances & Registration
The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1-Mile
There are separate registration categories for adults and kids for each distance. Registration fees vary by date, with lower fees earlier in the season and higher fees on race day. There are no refunds.
Course & Details
The 5K course is USATF-certified and winds through UCA landmarks. Wheelchairs and assistive devices are permitted on the course, but bikes and pets are not allowed. There will be one aid station and coverage from Conway Fire Department and UCA Athletic Training.
Participant Experience
A Best Costume Award is given for individuals and groups. All finishers receive a medal. Those registered for the 5K by a specific date in October are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Awards are also given to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K.
Logistics
Packet pickup occurs the day before the race at a specified UCA location and on race morning at the start line. Parking is available at several campus lots, but a note mentions that parking may be difficult due to a home football game later the same day.
Beneficiary
A portion of the event's proceeds supports Special Olympics Arkansas. Remaining funds support UCA's Exercise & Sport Science and Physical Therapy departments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
