The Newcastle 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run
The event offers three distances around Exhibition Park and the Town Moor in Newcastle, NE2 4PZ. The course is described as flat and mainly on paths, with one section on stone/trail. Buggies are permitted and the route is wheelchair friendly, though participants should note the stone/trail section.
Key event features include full chip-on-bib timing with instant results via Results Base, a finisher medal, snacks and drinks at the finish, marshals on course, limited bag storage, and on-site toilets. Race packs are collected at registration on event morning. Start fields are staggered to reduce congestion while timing records each runner from the start mat.
The event supports the charity Shelter; fundraising is optional and there is no minimum target. Entry fees are listed for each distance and entry pricing changes on 2 January 2026. There are standard cut-off times for completion: two hours for 5k and 10k, three hours for half marathons.
