Event overview
The Moon Run 5k takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Knoxville, Tennessee at Victor Ashe Park. The event is organized by Wallace Memorial Church to raise support for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for global missions.
Distances
- 5 km
- 1 mile
Course and logistics
Both courses start and finish at the Victor Ashe Pavilion. The 5 km is an out-and-back on the greenway, running along the frisbee golf course, connecting to the crosswalk to the Northwest Middle School Greenway, looping around the lower loop and returning to the pavilion. The 1 mile course goes almost completely around the Victor Ashe Soccer Fields, then turns and returns to the start/finish area in front of the pavilion.
Packet pickup is scheduled the same day at the Victor Ashe Pavilion. Nighttime running gear such as head lamps, flashlights and glow sticks is encouraged because the event is held by the light of the moon.
