Event overview
The Rock'in Santa Half Marathon & Sunshine Santa 5K takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville, TN (4910 Bradshaw Road, 37912). The event benefits the Sunshine Ambassadors, an organization serving people with disabilities through dance. The event program includes the following races:
- 5K
- Half Marathon
- Half Marathon Relay
Participants in the half marathon and 5K receive custom long sleeve shirts (half marathon: ROCK'IN SANTA; 5K: SUNSHINE SANTA) and finishers medals for those two distances. Shirt availability is not guaranteed after December 1.
Courses and logistics
The 5K starts at the Pavilion and follows the Greenway to the back of a school, then returns to the start/finish. The half marathon and relay use a Greenway course that consists of three loops. Each relay member runs one loop; each loop is 4.37 miles. The half marathon and relay have a four hour course time limit. Christmas music will be played at aid stations along the route, weather permitting. Headphone use is discouraged.
Packet pickup is at the Victor Ashe Park race site on Friday, Dec. 12 and continues on race morning, with runners allowed to pick up for friends.
Timing, awards and policies
Events will be electronically chip timed with live results sent to participants by text or email. Awards include overall top three male and female finishers and top male and female masters, plus age-group awards for multiple male and female age categories; award recipients must be present to collect prizes. Entries are non-transferable and the organizer has a no refund policy; insurance is offered during registration. RaceJoy mobile app support and live tracking are provided for the event.
