The 11th Annual Milwaukee Beer Run
The Milwaukee Beer Run takes place in Glendale, Wisconsin, featuring an out-and-back course along the tree-lined Oak Leaf Trail. The race begins and ends at The Bavarian Bierhaus, with the finish line situated directly within the Oktoberfest celebration at Old Heidelberg Park.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5k Beer Run/Walk: A 3.1-mile chip-timed event open to all ages and abilities.
- .05k Beer Run/Walk: A 54-yard dash designed as an untimed event.
The course utilizes the public Oak Leaf Trail and local streets. Strollers are permitted on the course, though participants are asked to allow others to pass safely. While dogs are not allowed on the race course, they are permitted at the finish line area.
Registration includes several event perks such as a themed sweatshirt, a collector's cup, and a post-race beverage (beer or root beer) provided by The Bavarian Bierhaus. All registered participants also receive all-day entry to the Oktoberfest festival. Additionally, the event supports the Hunger Task Force through a hosted food drive and donations.
Parking is available in the Bavarian Bierhaus lot and on surrounding neighborhood streets. The event is held rain, snow, or shine, subject to safety protocols regarding lightning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
