The Milton Keynes Winter Warmer Run
The event offers three distance options around Campbell Park in Milton Keynes, with a course that is undulating and mainly on paths with some trail sections. The lap structure is fixed: the 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the half marathon is four laps plus an extra section.
Distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
Timing is electronic using a chip-on-bib system and results are available instantly via the event timing provider. Race packs are collected at registration on the day. The event hub on the grass at Newlands provides toilets, limited bag storage and food and drink for sale. Marshals will be positioned around the course and the start is staggered to reduce congestion on towpaths; participants are asked to keep left unless directed otherwise.
Buggies are permitted; the course is not ideal for wheelchair users but is possible. Dogs on short leads are allowed and headphone use is permitted provided runners can still hear safety information and marshal instructions. Fundraising for Shelter is optional; Shelter support figures for April 2024 to March 2025 are provided by the organiser, including helpline and hub contacts and online advice usage. Typical cut off times noted by the organiser are two hours for 5k/10k and three hours for half marathons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
